This beautiful babe was SUCH a good sleeper! I always love it when newborns sleep really soundly so I can really have fun posing them. She was quite a trooper!         

It was difficult to choose sneak peeks from this session since I have so many favorites! Most families choose to be photographed outdoors for their session, but I was excited when this family chose their own home for the location. It’s so wonderful to see families in their own element, in the comfort of their own cozy home. This family made my job very easy–not only were they beautiful, but they were some of the sweetest people too! Enjoy the sneak peeks, ‘N’ Family!        

I had lots of fun at this session—or should I say sessions?! Daddy had to work the day I photographed this little man, so we snuck in a few extra daddy+baby shots a few days later. I’m so glad we did!     

At the encouragement of a very dear friend of mine, I’ve decided to launch a brand new website entirely devoted to newborn photography. I’m quick to admit that these tiny little subjects are my favorite to photograph, and I’m excited to have a special place just for them. Don’t worry, my current website isn’t changing! Only clients interested in newborn sessions will be re-directed to the new site. It should be unveiled in the next few weeks!    

She was such a sleepy girly! Only 1 week old.     

Mr. Matthew couldn’t decide what he wanted to do at our session. Every time I was certain he was out for good, his little eyes would pop open Enjoy the sneak peeks Mommy K and Daddy R!          

I love working with first-time parents. Their faces always show the emotional roller coaster that they’re going through from bringing a new baby home. On one hand they’re usually in a sleep-deprived fog, just living from one feeding to the next–but on the other hand, you can tell that they are so flooded with joy and love for this tiny, miraculous creature. I always enjoy sitting and talking with them, hearing their stories about sleepless nights, birthing experiences, the baby’s special quirks, etc. If the ‘S’ Family is reading this, enjoy your new bundle–he’s beautiful!       

Who says all newborns look the same? This little guy is proof positive that every baby is truly unique—check out that hair! He had the most fluffy and spikey hair I’ve ever seen on a newborn. I think every hair on his head pointed in a different direction I had such a wonderful time photographing him. Much of the time I was there, Baby R needed feedings, cuddles, diaper changes, more feeedings, etc., so I had plenty of time to chat with his new mommy and grandmother. Thank you, Mommy M and Grandma your southern hospitality!  
    

Little Miss R…she was so tiny and perfect! She either slept or just looked at me sweetly the whole time I was with her. Now that I think about it, I don’t think I heard a peep out of her at all! 

This little girl was such a sweetie for me! She gave me lots of eye contact and didn’t fuss one bit through our entire session. Thanks Baby K!
